DAYTON–It was announced by Superintendent Guy Strot, through an email on October 11, that Dayton and Waitsburg sports will have their first practice and conditioning starting Monday, October 19. DAYTON-The recent effects of the Coronavirus in Washington State have affected Dayton schools in an unexpected way. It was announced by Governor Jay Inslee on Friday, March 13, that all K–12 public and private schools in Washington State will close starting Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, April 24, and the school year will be extended no longer than to June 19. DAYTON–The Dayton FFA Agriculture Sales (Ag Sales) team of four competed against five other groups at the District VI contest in Colton, Wash., on February 26. DAYTON–The Class of 2022 was tasked with putting on the annual Sadie Hawkins dance. Each year, the sophomores are in charge of organizing and preparing the "Sadies" including choosing the theme which was "Neon Lights".
