DAYTON–The Columbia County Fair took place on September 8-11. Many local FFA members took their projects to the fair this year. Graci Turner took her heifer to the fair and received Grand Champion FFA Record Book. Anthony Jonas entered his lamb to the fair this year. DAYTON–This year, Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days took place on August 31 through September 3. Four Dayton FFA members, Gloree Grace, Kaelie Jonas, Elsie Mann, and Wyntr McCauley all brought their projects to this fair. DAYTON- The Dayton High School (DHS) Associated Student Body (ASB) elections for the 2023-24 school year happened on Monday, May 8. Elections were held in the High School Auditorium towards the end of the school day. The current ASB for 2022-2023 worked on this process with each other to prepare things for the upcoming officers for next year. DAYTON–Students have been wrapping up their school year, a little less than a month away, with club activities, competitions, and most importantly school work. The Dayton FFA Livestock judging team has done a phenomenal job these past two weeks while judging in Asotin and at state livestock judging in Spokane. DAYTON–The local FFA Chapter members participated in the District and State Qualifier competition in Asotin and Pullman on March 22 and 23. DAYTON–Sadie Hawkins, “Hippies in the ’60s” themed dance took place on Friday, February 17 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Youth Building. DAYTON–The Jr./Sr Associated Student Bodies (ASB) have planned a ski trip to Bluewood for the Jr./Sr High students on January 19 and 20, 2023. The ASBs worked together to pull together a trip to Dayton's local ski resort-Bluewood in January for middle and high school students.
