    DAYTON–Superintendent Guy Strot has submitted his resignation to directors of the Dayton School District, the Dayton Chronicle has been informed. Strot has been hired to serve as superintendent and high-school principal at the Wishram School District, a district and town of about 530 residents on the Washington side of the Columbia River, a short distance upstream of The Dalles, Ore.     DAYTON-The Board of County Commissioners met for a brief work session on April 25 before they went into an executive session to discuss personnel with Superior Court. They approved a contract with the Port of Columbia issuing them $90,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding that was previously approved to contribute towards the matching funds requirement of a $2 million grant awarded to the Port for the broadband project.     DAYTON–Councilwoman Marchand Hovrud has resigned her Position No. 5 seat on the City Council due to moving to another state, the Dayton Chronicle has learned. Hovrud submitted a letter of resignation to Mayor Zac Weatherford on Wednesday, April 13.
