Hordes of Halloween ghosties, princesses and ninjas parade Main Street businesses
Halloween on Main Street and at the Columbia County Courthouse saw many trick or treaters this year. The Sheriff's Office handed out bags of treats of candy and toys, Fire District No. 3 had yummy hotdogs. The Dayton Chronicle held a costume contest again this year and gave a little treat to those with and without costumes. The Liberty Theater, Columbia County Health Department, the Methodist Church and other businesses all had Halloween treats for the ghosts and goblins. Ray's Drive-In had some candy and a certificate to get a free shake for kids, and at the Dayton Library, there were festive art activities, hot cocoa and a movie at 5:30 p.m called "Halloween Town."
Dayton did Halloween "Boooootifuly" well again this year.
