Senior Night - Boys Basketball

Dayton-Waitsburg Boys Basketball

Senior members of the Dayton-Waitsburg Boys Basketball Program were Josiah White, Seamus House and Tayven Seney. White has played basketball five years, along with football and FFA. His best memory is playing Costello's music at basketball camp. His advice to other athletes is to realize a person doesn't have to be naturally talented, but can work every day to contribute. His goal is to study diesel mechanics and ag systems and hopefully run his own farm. He thanks Mason Finney for "having his back, on and off the court." House has played hoops four years, and amusingly remembers fouling a WWVA player, but not being called on it. House is FFA president and also plays football and golf, and suggests to future athletes to always work hard and put in the off-season work. He thanked his coaches and parents for their support. Seney has played four years, and also been in FFA, NHS, Youth and Government in addition to playing football and baseball. He plans to study ag technology and production management at WSU. Advice includes to always work hard and be coachable. He thanked his parents, coaches and community for its support, and the DW Combine for "keeping sports programs alive."
