Dyton-Waitsburg Cheer Squad
Senior members of the DW Cheer Squad included, from left to right, Anna Miller, Hannah Tiner and Grace Coulston. Miller has been a cheerleader three years, along with volleyball, FFA, Leo Club, and Youth and Government. Her favorite memories are Grace's dancing when learning funny cheers and Kelsey's finger guns. Career goals include becoming an attorney in the U.S. Army, and she advises younger cheerleaders to keep doing what you love, despite of being frightened. She thanked her cheer team for pushing her to be better and her parents for their support and sacrifice. Tiner is a three-year cheerleader who loves the Friday "gossip sessions" and the camaraderie with other cheerleaders. She plans to attend WWCC then transfer to EWU for a degree in early education. Advice is not to judge; "you'll be amazed what you all can do." She thanked all who gave her a chance and helped her do her best. Coulston has been in cheer four years and fondly remembers "just laughing with the girls." Activities included NHS, FFA and the Junior American Boer Goat Association. She suggests future cheerleaders listen and be open to compromise. Her thanks went to her grandma and grandpa, and her dad and stepmom for their support.
