Mudry is new BMS Market Manager

DAYTON–Blue Mountain Station (BMS) Co-op Market and Nursery have selected Valerie Mudry as the new BMS Market Manager, stepping on board a week before Patricia Sacha leaves on February 25. Mudry will begin her new position on February 18.

She brings a diverse set of assets to the Co-op and Nursery that include skills in restaurant ownership–The Whoopemup Café, and management along with creative skills as a pastry chef and event coordinator. She is also well versed in gardening and garden design which supports the second season of the BMS Nursery planting season.

The Blue Mountain Station Co-op Market is one of the tenants at the Port of Columbia's Blue Mountain Station Artisan Food Park. The site has two multi-tenant buildings, a commercial kitchen and a commercial garden that provides fresh seasonal produce for the Co-op Market. Besides the market, seven other food and beverages processing businesses lease space from the Port at Blue Mountain Station, a coffee roaster, a distillery, a candy maker, a mead processor, a honey processor, a liqueur mixer, and a hemp processer.

The Co-op Market serves as the point of sale for many of the products made on site as well as providing an outlet for over 40 regional vendors. The Market Manager assists the Port of Columbia with management of the Commercial Kitchen, events, facilities, and providing information to the public about the food park and reasons to visit Downtown Dayton.
