Golfers: Be sure to set your tee time

DAYTON– The Touchet Valley Golf Course opens with strict rules of engagement as Columbia County opens in Phase 2. Governor Jay Inslee laid out a four–step plan which allows some counties to enjoy recreational activities such as fishing, day hiking, boating and golf.

While most of the State opens in the very restrictive Phase 1, Columbia County applied for the variance to open in Phase 2 which allows some businesses and recreational activities to re–open. As long as citizens abide within the perimeters of each phase, communities will be able to enjoy activities once prohibited under the quarantine.

The Touchet Valley Golf Course has interim course rules which defined distancing practices while on the course. Open tee times: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; limit play to twosomes only; same household limited to foursomes; leave flagstick in hole; only one person per cart unless from same household; gloves required; remove golf ball from cup with gloved hand only; follow social distancing at all times by maintaining 6-ft. separation; sign in at restaurant; and pack all garbage out
