Second Annual Gene Crothers Memorial Golf Tournament

DAYTON–The 2nd Annual Gene Crothers Memorial Golf Tournament opens with a "Shotgun" start on Saturday, July 11 at 9 a.m. To dedicate the new sign in memory of Gene Crothers, a ceremony is planned at the golf course on Friday, July 10. at 6 p.m.

This year, due to COIVD-19 restrictions, a limit of 24 paid teams will participate in the tournament. There are a few spots remaining for anyone seeking to swing into action. You must register and pay the fee before placement on the roster. Also, to accommodate distancing and safety requirements, individual lunch boxes will be available at the turn. No big lunch group this year. Inland Cellular will provide drink refreshments during the tournament.

This community has teed up over $10,000 in sponsorship funds for the golf course irrigation project. In addition, prizes have been generously donated this year as follows: Walla Walla Country Club–18 holes of golf, carts, and range for four; Veterans Memorial Golf Course–18 holes of golf for four; Wine Valley Golf Course–18 holes of golf for two; Red Band Cellars Wine; XO Alambic Brandy; Pacific Northwest Metal and Wrenches–two metal signs; Locally Nourished Basket; Ray's Roast Coffee; Les Schwab–two oil change/tire rotation gift certificates; City Lumber–gift certificate; Weinhard Café Take and Bake–gift certificate; My Dad's Place–gift certificate; and Moose Creek Café and Bakery–gift certificate.
