Commissioner seeks solution to stall renters' issue

DAYTON–County Commissioner Chuck Amerein called an unofficial Stall Renters meeting October 6, 2020 with the intention of finding resolution of issues to differences between two groups renting horse stalls at the County Fairgrounds.

After extensive discussion between the individuals, one of the renters, Anndria Anderson, proposed that a clause in the Stall Renters Agreement be adopted of “Mind Your Own Business” with warnings for not following the rules.

Amerein agreed with the idea and suggested that he would consult with County Prosecutor Dale Slack for appropriate language in the agreement. He proposed that the clause would include that no one interfere with one another or their horses, or their kids, unless they are in any way coaching. He went on to say that only each person should have only one horse in the round pens at a time unless no one else is around.

The groups expressed relief in airing things out in the meeting and expressed willingness to go along with a new clause.
