DAYTON–It wouldn’t be Halloween 2020 without a coronavirus twist to a longstanding community tradition.
This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Trick or Treat Main Street will take place, with modifications, of course, on Halloween, October 31.
Parents and Trick-or-Treaters are invited to a drive-through event in the parking lot behind Dingle’s of Dayton. Bags of candy will be distributed by Chamber of Commerce volunteers from 3-5 p.m. The lot is at the corner of Commercial and 1st streets.
Kiwanis Club volunteers will assist with traffic control.
Another community tradition, Halloween costume photos in the Dayton Chronicle, will be canceled, also due to COVID-19 and unavailability of Chronicle staff.
