It doesn’t look good for conservatism
It is interesting that the national media, which is already biased against conservatism due to influence in hyper-liberal political forces, has glossed over the Election Night improprieties and declared Joe Biden the winner.
I just shake my head because it may come to pass, in spite of all the legal battles that lie ahead.
There was an old practice in Chicago, that Mayor Richard J. Daly prohibited Cook County from announcing its vote totals until all the other Illinois counties had announced their totals. That’s because Daly could then come up with enough votes to ensure his favored candidates would win.
Just ask Senator Dino Rossi, a Republican candidate with broad appeal in the Puget Sound region. Rossi was against Democrat Christine Gregoire in 2004 and lost the best one out of three.
Hey, ain’t it the best two out of three? How about double or nothin’?
The national discourse about mail-in ballots and the Democrats’ contention that all will be done fairly doesn’t wash when remembering the 2004 election. Rossi won the on Election Day and he won the first recount. But King County ginned up additional ballots—“Hey, look what’s in this closet!”—and Gregoire went on to occupy the Governor’s Mansion.
The thing about the 2020 election is that Trump will not concede until all legal avenues have been exhausted.
It is highly suspicious that counting ballots stopped in Pennsylvania early on November 3, and as they counted and counted in the ensuing days, hmmm…Trump’s lead evaporated and Joe jetted into the lead.
Same thing in Nevada, Georgia and Minnesota. Wisconsin has some shady stories as well.
In all the elections I’ve witnessed, the general trend of the “on-time” voting is followed by the late, absentee votes.
I remember crossing fingers that a school bond would pass, and that it was failing as of the Election Night count. If only the remaining absentees, properly postmarked, could reverse the losing trend.
Folks, statistically, the voting trend carries through to the late-counted ballots.
Except if you’re Joe Biden and you’ve got the Democratic Party and the major media colluding to oust Donald Trump.
Like a Chicago friend of once told me: “My mother voted Republican all of her life, until she died. Then she started voting Democrat.”
