Susan Patricia Nyce
1945–February 16, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and wife, Susan Nyce. Although she was a cancer survivor and recipient of a pacemaker, she was not able to beat the slow decline of Alzheimer's. Sue spent her final years at home being carefully cared for by her husband. She passed away on February 16, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
Susan was born in England in 1945, at the end of WWII, to Pat and Ezra Trump but she grew up in Dayton, Wash., the hometown of her father. After graduation, she left her hometown to attend Yakima Business College and that is where she met her future husband, Joe Nyce.
They were married on August 15, 1964 and had four children. Joe and Sue moved to Dayton in 1982 to purchase Dayton Cut & Wrap in a partnership with Roger Trump and then a few years later they were able to realize their dream of solely owning the business.
Sue Nyce was a loving wife and dotting mother. She loved camping with Joe in their motorhome and fishing on warm days, only warm days. Sue was a wonderful cook and baker, but she did enjoy the occasional night off from cooking. She very much enjoyed spending time with her many friends in the Dayton area and spoke often of their time together. Susan loved spending the holidays with her family and especially enjoyed setting out the Nativity Scene at home every year. She will be greatly missed!
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Nyce; three children, Rhonda Maynard, Danielle Starr and Jason Nyce; along with many grandchildren; one great grandchild, and all three of her brothers, Rich Trump, Roger Trump and Ron Trump.
Susan was preceded in death by one child, James, and both of her parents.
