Dr. Kennie Reeves, recently graduated from the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program sponsored by Colorado State University and is now offering this service at the Dayton Veterinary Clinic, where she and her husband, Dr. Chuck Reeves provide care to animal patients.

Susan McEloy and Ryan Gerlitz were chosen as the recipients of the 1996 PEO Citizenship Award. This award is given to the outstanding young man and woman in the Senior Class.
The Dayton Boosters provided $1,100 towards the National FBLA Conference which will be held in July, in Washington D.C. Eleven members of the Dayton Chapter of Future Business leader of America plan to attend, with eight members competing in various events.

Win First Sheep Cup, New Trophy Given At the Spokane Show for Herdsmanship. Members of the Upper Whetstone Fleeces 4-H Club came home last week from the Spokane Junior Livestock Show as proud possessors of the first sheep herdsmanship trophy awarded at the show, sponsored by the agricultural committee of the Spokane Chamber of Commerce.
Michelle Barnett, of Dayton, is graduating June 2 from Walla Walla Community College with an Associated in Applied Arts and Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology,

Before one of the greatest crowds ever to attend a Dayton Days coronation ball, Janice Henriod of Dayton was crowned queen of the festival season, with Ann Dingle, Margaret Fletcher, Belva Heinrich, and Leora Warren as the princesses attendants, at the Fairgrounds Pavilion Saturday evening.

A WONDERFUL MACHINE! Mr. Ryerson Installs New Apple Grading Machine in Packing House.
The machine was invented by Timothy Newell, a former resident of this county, who now resides in Hood River.
A law passed by the last legislature is to the effect that the owner of any make of car must secure a driver’s license in order to drive his own car or that any member of his family driving the car must also have a license, which cost the sum of $1.00 each.
