Lady Wolfpack wraps season at TCP

PASCO–The Dayton-Waitsburg Lady Wolfpack Volleyball Team finished the season with a loss and a net full of good experience to carry into next year. TriCities Prep downed DW in three sets here Tuesday, October 26.

"The team continued to grow and learn all season," said Head Coach Tracy Barron. "As a coach, a person can't ask for more."

The Lady Jaguars didn't just cruise through their opponents. The Lady Wolfpack was in the mix in the first set, a 25-18 loss, faltered in the second 25-11 set and gave TCP good competition in the third set, a 25-16 loss.

Junior middle hitter Claudia Benavides had a big day at the net, firing seven kills. She made one dig.

Another junior, Emily Rodrick, stepped up at the net, blocking one TCP kill and making a kill. She added five assists.

Sophomore hitter Makenna Barron slammed two kills, had one rejection, four digs and an ace serve.

"I'm excited to watch this young team continue to grow next season," Coach Barron said.

She thanked the senior team members, Megan Forney, Ella Larson and Trista Villaro, for great season.
