DAYTON–The Palouse Regional Transportation Planning Organization (PRTPO) has scheduled a public meeting to participate in the Palouse’s Regionally Coordinated Public Transit–Human Services Transportation Plan 2022 (CPT-HSTP) which will be held at the Dayton Public Library’s Delany Room, 111 S. 3rd, Wednesday, March 23, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The CPT-HSTP 2022 Plan helps fund public transportation services every four years, which also includes two years updates to reflect if the services are meeting the expected public needs. This meeting is intended to gather the community needs for Public Transportation Agencies.
The PRTPO is also seeking public feedback concerning overall public transportation services for SFY 2022-26 within the region. Input for services such as the need for a new route, any changes needed in existing service routes, need for any additional services, any agency-wide, customer-related services will be greatly appreciated. Any local contribution on Public Transportation expectations for the four-county region (Asotin, Columbia, Garfield, and Whitman counties) and adjacent areas are also welcome.
It is encouraged for those who can attend the public meeting in your specific area to do so. For those who are unable to attend, a virtual public meeting is available.
In addition, surveys provide valuable input and the PRTPO has launched an online public survey which can be accessed now through April 24, 2022. To participate, visit the PRTPO website or websites of your respective transit agencies for the online survey link during that time.
The following are dates, times and places of public meetings pertaining to this topic.
• March 17–COAST Transportation, Food Pantry, Colfax, Wash., at 4–5:30 p.m.
• March 24–Garfield County Public Transportation, Senior Center, Pomeroy, Wash., at 1:30–3:30 p.m.
