National Night Out Aug. 2

DAYTON–The Annual National Night Out-Police Community Partnerships, sponsored by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, celebrates 14 years here at the City Park on Tuesday, August 2 at 5-8 p.m.

National Night Out (NNO), this year, will feature free hotdogs, chips and refreshments courtesy of Banner Bank, Frito-Lay, Home Street Bank and Columbia County Public Transportation. There will be much to see at the numerous displays from community organizations and businesses which include Ageing and Long Term Care, Banner Bank, Blue Mountain Action Council, Family Resource Center, Blue Mountain Counseling, Child Abduction Response Team, Columbia County Hospital District, Columbia County Public Health, Columbia County Public Transportation, Friends of the Pool, Columbia County Emergency Management, Columbia County Fire District No. 3, Dayton Kiwanis, Kyle’s Custom Toys and Towing, Life Flight Network, Dayton Lions Club, Puget Sound Energy, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Blue Mountain Search and Rescue, Walla Walla DJ, Walla Walla Valley BMS, The Club, YWCA, Klickitat and Columbia County Sheriff’s Posse, Umatilla National Forest and Coalition for Youth and Family.

In addition, exhibits of Get on the ground floor of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Posse; professional DJ and photo booth services. Lifeflight network helicopter flies in for tours, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office patrol boat; Search and Rescue Humvee, Command Trailer and Quads; free I.D. kits for your child courtesy of C.A.R.T

NNO celebrates its 38th year in this country. It was first established in August, 1984, and was instituted to bring the public and law enforcement together under positive circumstances to build relationships, while enhancing a true sense of community. Now NNO is traditionally celebrated the first Tuesday of August, So, come, join the Fun, Food, and Frolic while you meet and make new friends.
