An extensive thunder and lightning storm

An extensive thunder and lightning storm rolled through southeastern Washington the evening of Wednesday, August 10, and local fire fighters mobilized and dispersed around Columbia County on the lookout for fires started by ground strikes. They were in hot pursuit as most of the lightning skirted Dayton to the north, then the system dumped nearly two inches of rain on the area.
