DAYTON–The Columbia County Republican Central Committee (CCRCC) will hold a Candidate Forum at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Dayton High School Auditorium. The public is invited to attend this free event.
Moderator of the forum will be CCRCC Chairman Fred White.
Candidates for County Commissioner who are planning to attend include Charles Amerein and Jack Miller. Each will be given three minutes for a short introductory statement, then will field questions for up to 20 minutes. Both candidates are Republicans.
For County Sheriff, candidates Joe Helm and Jeff Jenkins will be afforded three minutes for introductions then will answer questions for 20 minutes.
A number of candidates who are running unopposed have been invited to attend and will be afforded three minutes to make a statement.
District 9 representatives Mary Dye and Joe Schmick, who now represent Columbia County following redistricting, will attend to meet and introduce themselves to local constituents.
Other unopposed candidates who have confirmed attending include Treasurer Carla Rowe and write-in candidate Jann Manwell. Both are Republicans.
