Dayton High School Christmas send-off

DAYTON–High School students celebrate the short week before winter break with the “Christmas Send-off” celebration. And the DW Wolfpack has chosen Camo as this home game’s theme.

The High School Associated Student Body (ASB) has been busy planning out the short two-day week before winter break with a “Christmas Send-off” celebration. Students are given a dress up day where they have the option to wear Christmas Pajamas to school. The ASB will be passing out hot cocoa, cookies, and apple cider before school starts on Monday, December 19.

The next day is early release, so the ASB will pass out hot cocoa, donuts, and apple cider before school. Students are again given the options to participate by wearing “Ugly X-mas Sweaters”. In addition, there will be many activities consisting of multiple fun things DHS students can participate in. Classrooms will be open for Christmas movies and Christmas crafts. The Commons Area will have food and a karaoke machine. Some rooms will include other activities such as games or open gym.

A competition between classes and staff will be taking place making ginger bread houses. ASB has also provided the students a room to catch up on school work or choose not to participate. Students of DHS will find joy throughout this “Christmas Send-off” event which they can take with them as they enter their winter break.

Dayton-Waitsburg (DW) Wolfpack High School Basketball’s first home game on December 9 will be Camo themed. For the first upcoming home game theme, both schools have coordinated the theme, Camo Night. This game will take place in the Dayton Gym. DW Wolfpack will be going up against Goldendale. Junior Varsity boys will be starting at 4:30 p.m. Varsity girls will be starting at 6 p.m. Varsity boys will be starting at 7:30 p.m. Our DW Wolfpack Basketball players have been working hard for this season. Wear your camo and come support your team!
