Sadie Hawkins and FFA Week

DAYTON–The High School (DHS) Class of 2025 put together the “Hippies in the 60’s” themed Sadie Hawkins Dance on February 17 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Youth Building from 8-10 p.m. Sadie Hawkins is a Dayton-Waitsburg Dance that DHS will be hosting this year. The DHS Sophomore class will be selling tickets for both couples and singles at the door to fundraise for any future Class of 2025 events or purchases.

National FFA Week is February 18-23. Dayton FFA officers have been working together to coordinate events and activities for that week. There will be no school on February 19-21. The dress up day on February 22 will be “Dress like a Farmer,” and the officers will be holding a Pancake Breakfast for the chapter members before school to encourage chapter involvement.

There will also be a Dayton FFA chapter trip to a hockey game in the evening in Tri-cities. Dress up day on February 23will be “4th of July BBQ attire.”

Dayton FFA will be hosting their 2nd Annual Farmers & Friends Dinner in the DHS Multi-Purpose Room at 6:30 p.m. This event will encourage not only members but the community to stay involved within the Chapter and FFA.

Dress up day on February 24, will be “Blue and Gold.”

The Dayton FFA Officers have planned a pep-assembly for the middle and high school students to participate in activities, games, and fun. This will not only encourage other students of all ages, but also teach younger kids about agriculture or FFA.
