Marilyn Kaye Roff

June 30, 1937–March 7, 2023

Marilyn Kaye Roff, much loved, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, gained her "angel wings" on March 7, 2023 at Rivers Walk Assisted Living in Dayton, Wash.

She was born to Cecil and Clara Williams on June 30, 1937. Growing up, she attended local schools and on February 17, 1956, she married Norman Roff. Making their home in Dayton; they were the proud parents of five children. Family was always first and frequent get-togethers with homemade favorite foods and activities were a must!

"A Life Well Lived", Mom loved her family and all who crossed her path. For over 30 years, she was a school bus driver for Dayton School District. Mom was very popular with the kids, and probably the most requested bus driver for field trips, sports/rooter buses and Senior Sneaks! She was a very proud and active member of Town & Country Club, Craft Club, DHS Alumni and Past-President of Eagles Auxiliary after serving as President for many years.

Mom delivered Meals on Wheels for Dayton Senior Center and drove Columbia County Transportation bus, serving the Community for many more years. She truly enjoyed knitting baby sweaters and dishcloths, playing golf, fishing, country music, swim exercise classes, and meals with friends and family.

An amazingly loving and supportive "Granny Bear", her grandchildren always knew Grandma would be "front and center" for band concerts, piano recitals, figure skating/theatrical performances, parades, and all sports games.

Always ready to travel, Mom cherished the memories of many destination trips including Hawaii, Disneyland, South Korea, St. Thomas, Alaska Cruise, Pacific Coast Cruise, California Redwoods, and Branson, Missouri.

Mom is survived by daughters Diana (Ron) Ashley, Sherry (Russ) White, Kathy (Terry) Gallaher, son Norman (Debbie) Roff; grandchildren Chelsie, Chandra, Derek, Devin, Darci, Charlie, Angela; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters Marilene (Paul) Weed, Bev (Darrell) Gaines; numerous nieces, nephews and many Special Friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband Norman, sister Donna, companion Alvin and daughter Glenda.

A Celebration of Life is planned May 6, at 1-3 p.m. at the Dayton Senior Center; Tacos by Dayton Eagles.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dayton Senior Center, Dayton Eagles, DHS Alumni.
