Warden Cougars sweep DW
WAITSBURG–The Warden Cougars’ relentless offense and sticky defense held sway here last Saturday, handing the DW Wolfpack baseball nine 17-5 and 21-0 losses.
DW visited Walla Walla Valley Academy last Tuesday and heads to Colfax for a non-conference game April 25, then play a double header at Riverview April 28.
Hosting Warden April 15, the Cougars jumped on DW with three runs in the first, two in the second and third and wrapped up the win with seven in the top of the seventh for the 17-5 win on 12 hits. DW committed 10 errors.
In the second game, Warden again chalked up several runs, blowing up with nine in the fifth inning but held DW scoreless. The Wolfpack managed two hits, by Levi Boudrieau and W. Durham, and left four stranded.
