WALLA WALLA–A Dayton man, Skyler Ian Glasby, 34, is being held in Walla Walla County Jail on $50,000 bond following an incident which resulted in Glasby sustaining a gunshot wound in a residence in the 500 block of N. Roosevelt Street here on April 6.
Glasby was charged in Walla Walla County Superior Court on April 12 of Residential Burglary (Class B Felony), Harassment (Gross Misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Class C Felony), Possession of a Stolen Firearm (Class B Felony) and a Department of Correction violation (Class C Felony), according to Walla Walla Corrections booking information.
He was taken into custody on April 12. During the course of the investigation, Walla Walla Police detectives developed probable cause for Glasby for the crimes of Residential Burglary and Felony Harassment (Threats to Kill). Additionally, a search warrant was executed on Glasby’s vehicle. Two stolen firearms were allegedly located inside the vehicle. Glasby is a convicted felon and not legally allowed to possess firearms. Glasby was contacted and taken into custody. He was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on the charges of Residential Burglary, Felony Harassment (Threats to Kill), two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st and 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, according to a news release from Walla Walla Police spokesman Sgt. Nick Loudermilk.
Walla Walla Police say Glasby was shot while allegedly trying to break into a residence in the 500 block of N Roosevelt St. on April 6. Glasby drove himself to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, police reported.
On April 6, a little after 8:30 p.m., the Walla Walla Police Department received a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of N. Roosevelt Street. While officers were enroute, Providence St. Mary Medical Center called to advise a gunshot victim had just arrived at the emergency room. Officers also responded to the Emergency Department.
Glasby was being treated by hospital staff when officers arrived there, the report indicated. Glasby’s vehicle was located a few hundred feet away from the hospital entrance. The vehicle was found in physical contact with another structure.
