DAYTON–The local links were the site of a league golf match April 18, hosted by Dayton-Waitsburg Golf.
Due to some holes being unplayable because of the ongoing Touchet Valley Golf Course irrigation project, the match was 16 holes, par 64.
Dayton-Waitsburg's Carson Potter carded a 90, William Daves came in at 135 and Sarah Daves finished with 125.
"Carson continues to do the little things to improve his game," observed Head Coach Mike McGhan. "Sarah's score did not show it, but she is hitting the ball better every day."
Conditions were "very windy," and play was affected for most of the match, McGhan said. "We had a little rain, a little snow and even some sunshine for the girls' final couple of holes," he said.
Winning the match was Ike O'Leary of Goldendale, with 72. The top woman was Nell Dodds of Walla Walla Valley Academy at 83.
