FFA Livestock Judging
DAYTON–Students have been wrapping up their school year, a little less than a month away, with club activities, competitions, and most importantly school work.
The Dayton FFA Livestock judging team has done a phenomenal job these past two weeks while judging in Asotin and at state livestock judging in Spokane.
In Asotin, The Dayton FFA livestock judging team placed 15th out of 44 teams. Wyntr McCauley placed 31st individually out of 266 competitors.
Dayton FFA went to Spokane on Wednesday, May 3 to compete at state livestock. The Dayton FFA livestock team received the top 20 and was asked to stay longer for the end result. Dayton FFA was then announced as 19th place out of 45 teams. All of the Dayton FFA livestock judging members play individually in the top 100. Wyntr McCauley once again received 31st place out of 216.
Dayton FFA Officers did really well at livestock this year and are very excited to compete at the FFA State Convention next week from May 11-13.
The annual FFA plant sale will be on May 25-27. Be sure to check out the Dayton High School (DHS) greenhouse and purchase your plants grown by DHS and middle school students.
With summer right around the corner, there are some exciting upcoming events. On May 19, they will be a pie the teacher assembly run by students; the band Sliverwood trip on. May 20; the 6th-grade camp at Camp Wooten May 22-25. Everyone has been working hard during school trying to end the year off well!
