DAYTON–A Library Costume Block Party is planned in front of the library on Third Street, hosted by the Neighbors United for Progress on October 13 at 4-7 p.m.
The public is invited to join in a free celebration of music, food, games, and activities. Come dressed as your favorite book character. A costume fashion show will take place at 5:30 p.m., then enjoy a performance by Baile Folklórico featuring traditional Mexican dancing at 6 p.m.
In addition, the book "Bats in the Library" by Brian Lies will be offered to each child attending the event.
The library will be open until 7 p.m.
