Dayton Bulldog Student-Athletes ready for basketball season

Dayton Lady Bulldog Basketball gets underway this week with these five hoopsters leading the team into the 2023-24 campaign under new Head Coach Jorie Aukerman and Asst. Coach Morgan Poche. There'll be no shortage of enthusiasm as the Bulldog Cheer Squad is gearing up for the winter sports seasons, anticipating leading the student body and spectators in rooting for the players. At left, these two cheer squad members, Ashley Essency and Wyntr McCauley, will be spearheading the spirit-boosting efforts this season are returning letter winners, along with Julianne Bowen, Lucille Kneff, Opal Hair-Morin, Laney Crow, Ashlynn Thornhill, Skylar McCann and Suri Vela. Brianna Collier is Cheer Advisor.

The young Dayton Bulldog basketball squad hopes to make up in numbers what it lacks in experience as the winter basketball season gets underway this week with a jamboree in Milton-Freewater. Nolan Korslund, a senior, is the sole member of the team who had earlier earned a varsity letter. Coaching the Bulldogs with be Clayton Strong, assisted by Clay Hutchens.
