WALLA WALLA–The Sixth Annual Valley Giving Guide, which was distributed in area newspapers on November 30 kicks off the widely anticipated month-long celebration of generosity which is set to benefit 163 cherished nonprofits in the heart of Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, and Umatilla counties.
The Giving Guide, co-hosted by the Blue Mountain Community Foundation and United Way of the Blue Mountains, was inserted in the Dayton Chronicle and East Washingtonian, and other area publications last week.
This valley-wide event is a testament to our community's collective heart, organizers say.
This guide is your golden ticket to supporting local nonprofits with ease. Imagine making one contribution that goes to all your favorite causes, through a website that's not just secure, but also magnifies your impact with a Bonus Pool-meaning every dollar you give grows instantly!
Kol Medina, the CEO of Blue Mountain Community Foundation, captures the spirit perfectly: "The Valley Giving Guide is a win-win-win. Donors have an easy way to donate and have bonus bucks added to their donation; nonprofits get to work together to raise more money for themselves; and the community overall benefits from the work of our dedicated nonprofits."
There's more good news-participation comes at absolutely no cost, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. A heartfelt thank you to Cape Flattery Foundation, Coffey Communications, and many others, including the J.L. Stubblefield Trust, Ken & Ginger Harrison, Innovia Foundation, Wildhorse Foundation, Columbia REA, Milton-Freewater Area Foundation, Coldwell Banker of Walla Walla, Northwest Collision, Patricia Benton, East Oregonian, and Walla Walla Union-Bulletin. Their support has created a bonus pool that will be used for boosting funds, elevating every single donation.
This 2023 event is set to surpass the enthusiasm of the previous year, promising to add extra zest to every contribution, just like the additional 10% boost given last year bringing the total raised to $3.4 million!
