Drs. Lewis and Gwynneth Neace to retire

DAYTON–Dr. Gwynneth Neace, Board Certified Pediatrician, and Dr. Lewis Neace, Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, two esteemed Columbia County Health System doctors, have announced their retirement.

Both Drs. Lewis and Gwynneth Neace chose to return to this area in 2016 and lend their considerable skills to the communities they love. Being able to give back to the towns they were raised in was the capstone of the two accomplished careers in medicine, and after eight years of devoted service, they have decided to retire.

Dr. Lewis Neace will no longer be on the Emergency Department schedule as of January 1, 2024, but will remain involved in a support capacity for the hospital and EMS on an administrative level. Dr. Gwynneth Neace will continue serving patients in the clinic until March 1, 2024, allowing for a smooth transition to other providers. Both doctors have expressed a willingness to help when and where needed and plan to maintain their physician credentials.

Throughout their time at Columbia County Health System, Dr. Gwynneth Neace and Dr. Lewis Neace have touched the lives of countless patients and families in the community. Their dedication and expertise have significantly impacted the well-being of those they have cared for and have elevated the quality of the care provided by the Health System.

Dr. Gwynneth Neace expressed her decision to retire took some consideration. "This decision has not been easy," said Neace. She expressed her gratitude to all those for unwavering support throughout the years."
