Students share the holiday spirit

DAYTON–Winter Break is here! Many of us participated in events during the very short week next week and additional activities which was a wrap up before students left for break.

Last week, there was a Winter Band Concert in the Auditorium, and the Middle School (MS) Associated Student Body (ASB) sold Candy Cane Grams from December 11-18 as a winter fundraiser in the MS Commons before and after school

Dayton High School (DHS) ASB planned for their short two-day Christmas Send-off Week on December 18-19. Christmas Pajamas was the dress-up theme for Monday, December 18, and DHS ASB will hand out hot chocolate. Tuesday's dress-up day was Ugly X-mas Sweater, and DHS ASB will hand out hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls made by Mrs. Trump's food class. Tuesday was a half-day filled with fun activities which included Christmas tree decorating, ornament decorating, e-sports, free gym, dodgeball tournaments, Christmas movies, coloring, and board games.

The DHS "Ugly X-mas Sweater" themed carried through to the December 12 home game against WWVA. The December 19 game had the "Flannel" themed home game against Touchet.

This High School Reporter/Correspondent wishes you all a very Merry Christmas. See you in the New Year!
