A Kennewick resident received injuries in a December 13 mishap at State Route 12 and Main Road. Adam Anderson, 38, was transported by Columbia County Fire District No. 3 ambulance to the hospital after the 1993 Jeep Cherokee he was driving westbound on 12 collided with a 1989 Toyota Camry driven by James Hilton, 73, Dayton. Hilton's vehicle was entering the highway from Main Road prior to the collision. Hilton and Anderson were both wearing safety belts and Hilton was cited for failing to yield the right of way, according to Trooper Ryan Los of the Washington State Patrol. Both vehicles were totaled.
