2024 WSU and UI Youth Livestock Field Day series

POMEROY–Registration for the Youth Livestock Field Day Series hosted by Idaho and Washington State Extension Offices, is now open to area 4-H and FFA youths, leaders, and families. The series will take place in three locations and dates. The first in the event begins on Saturday, March 9 for Beef at Asotin County Fairgrounds; the next is Saturday, March 16 with Sheep and Goat at University of Idaho Livestock Pavilion; and the final event is Saturday, March 23 for Swine at Latah County Fairgrounds.

Each event will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. and will cover several topics such as Selection of Project Animals; Health Care, and much more.

Speakers are local Veterinarians, Extension Faculty and Staff from the University of Idaho and WSU, UI Block and Bridle Students, WSU Veterinary Students, Industry Representatives, and 4-H/FFA volunteers. The program is designed to provide information and teach skills to all level in the pursuit of having successful market livestock projects.

Registration will close when maximum capacity for each event is reached and fill up fast. Go to bit.ly/clearwater_events and listed under transaction item to register. There is a fee which covers lunch and handout materials.
