National FFA Week

DAYTON–After students come back from mid-winter break, the local FFA members will prepare to celebrate National FFA Week on February 19-23.

The theme for Dress Up Day is "Crazy Socks," and Dayton FFA will host a Middle/High school staff breakfast in the lounge at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21.

The theme for Dress Up Day on Thursday, February 22, is "Animal Print," and FFA members will host the Farmers and Friends Dinner at 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (invite only) in the Youth Building at the Columbia County Fairgrounds.

"Dress as somebody else" is the theme for Friday, February 23. The local FFA organization will be passing out an FFA Trivia sheet for participants to fill out. The top six winners will receive a Dutch Bros. gift card. Later in the evening, the FFA will host the "FFA Kickback" movie and pizza night in the ag shop at 6:30 p.m.

To conclude the crazy, busy week, Dayton FFA will go to St. John for a Trap Shoot competition on Saturday, February 24.

Spring sports registration is open, and practices begin on Monday, February 26. There is no school due to parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, March 20.

Dayton High School Associated Student Body (ASB) is actively working on a Formal Attire Drive. All donations of formal wear will be contributed to the formal closet held in the high school for Yamate Exchange Students to use for Prom in the Spring. To donate, bring all items to the High School office for ASB.
