Dune: Part Two (opening date nationally). The saga continues with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. This movie, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021's six-time Academy Award-winning "Dune." This big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert's acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, and many other well-known actors.
"Dune: Part Two" will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Rotten Tomatoes critics give this movie a 98% favorable, but there are no audience reviews available yet. That website's critics summarized their reviews with "Visually thrilling and narratively epic," which continues the "adaptation of the beloved sci-fi series in spectacular form." This movie is rated PG-13 for sequences of strong violence, some suggestive material and brief strong language. The IMDb parent's guide only has comments regarding violence and gore, "More violence and gruesome images than the first film. Nothing too graphic but pretty strong for PG-13." Another comment there was "Definitely more than the first, but still very clearly PG-13, and isn't that frightening." It has a runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes. It will show at the Liberty Theater for two weeks.
