Wheel-chair lift grant awarded

DAYTON–Dayton School District has been granted $96,367 to install a new wheelchair lift in the High School building. This improvement will provide access to the eight second-floor classrooms and the auditorium for both students and community members.

The Health and Safety ADA Equal Access Grant was awarded in effort to improve compliance with both the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Jana Eaton, Business Manager for Dayton School is one of two grant writers for the school district and is acknowledged for her efforts in this and many other grants received by the school.
