A typographical error was point out in the “Archives” published on March 28. The item was from the March 24, 1949 Dayton Chronicle and should have read: Deputy Sheriff Herschell Bauman and State Patrolman Clarence Ellis are expected to arrive home from a trip to Missoula, Mont., where they went to return the two alleged bandits who held up the Tucanon service station. The two bandits pulled a “stickup” on Mrs. Harold Dye, who was in charge of her husband’s Tucanon service station, getting away with $12 or $14 and a tank of gas.
Mrs. Dye’s name was inadvertently misspelled.
