What's New at School?

Busy Spring

DAYTON–Springtime is when students of all ages are busiest with school finals, scholarships, sports, and more. Dayton FFA has several things coming up, including competitions and a fundraiser.

The Dayton FFA livestock judging team will be headed to Asotin on Friday, April 26, to compete in a livestock judging contest. They will also go to St. John on Saturday, April 27, to compete in livestock judging. Wednesday, May 1, the livestock judging team will be headed to the State livestock judging competition in Spokane. The Annual Dayton FFA Plant Sale will be held at the Dayton High School (DHS) Greenhouse on May 2-4 from 8 AM to 5 PM. Numerous Dayton FFA Chapter members will attend the 94th Washington FFA State Convention in Pullman on the Washington State University (WSU) campus from May 9-11.

State testing, or SBAC, will start on May 1 in the Media Center. The SAT was on Tuesday, April 23, for the pre-registered Juniors to take it. On Tuesday, April 23, DHS Baseball headed to Pomeroy to play against the Pirates starting at 4 p.m. DHS Softball played against Pomeroy in Dayton starting at 4 p.m.

Wednesday, April 24, DHS Softball will play McLoughin for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. On Thursday, April 25, DHS Baseball will go to Gar-Pal for a game starting at 4 p.m.

Saturday, April 27, DHS Baseball will head to St. John to play in a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. DHS Softball will be against Tekoa-Rosalia in a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.
