DHS Softball and Baseball are on to playoffs!

DAYTON–The High School (DHS) Baseball team hosted the district playoffs against Sunnyside Christian on Friday, May 3. The winners of the first two games then faced off at 4 p.m. Dayton Secondary students did a send-off as the DHS Baseball team walked across the street from the gym parking lot to the dike or baseball field. The DHS Softball team will play the Grape Division No. 3 seed at 3 p.m. on May 7 at the Mill Creek Complex in Walla Walla.

Dayton FFA and agriculture classes of Dayton Secondary worked hard to prepar for the annual Dayton FFA Plant Sale. The Plant Sale occurred on May 2-4 in the newly redone greenhouse. Staff came to shop for plants on May 1 as a way for Dayton FFA and students to show appreciation. Students and chapter members have helped significantly with customer service and any necessities needed during the sale. Overall, the Plant Sale has been successful and received much support from numerous customers, donations, staff, and students.

On Monday, May 6, the Middle School (MS) Softball team will be headed to Bethlehem Lutheran, game starts at 4 p.m., MS Track in Pomeroy at 4 p.m., MS Baseball in Dayton VS DeSales at 4 p.m., HS Golf Sub Districts at Red Wolf Golf Club in Clarkston tee time at 11 a.m., and the Booster club meeting 5p.m. in the Media Center.

Tuesday, May 7, MS Baseball and Softball pictures at the HS field at 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday, May 8, HS Associated Student Body (ASB) Elections at 2:15 p.m., MS Baseball in Touchet game at 4 p.m., and MS Softball in Dayton VS Liberty Christian (Richland) at 4 p.m.

Thursday, May 9, Dayton FFA members will be headed to the FFA State Convention at Washington State University (WSU); and MS Softball in Dayton VS St. Patrick's at 4 p.m.

High School Baseball Regionals in Ritzville is scheduled for Saturday, May 10. Times to be announced.
