Gale Henry Manning

October 26, 1937–May 18, 2024

Gale Henry Manning, resident of Dayton, passed away May 18, 2024, at his home. He was 86.

Gale was born October 26, 1937 in Burley, Idaho, and was raised in nearby Springdale. He was employed as a salesman early in his first marriage and his wife remarked, "He was such a good salesman he could sell anything." He also worked in road repair for several years with his family.

He moved to Dayton about 35 years ago and for a short time owned and operated the Baker House Bed & Breakfast. Gale was a man of many talents and found joy in lots that he did. He was also an active member of the Dayton Aerie 2618 Eagle's and served on their board of trustees and as secretary for many years. He enjoyed trips with family to Yellowstone National Park and fishing. He has been living with his longtime companion Debbie Manis in Dayton

Gale was preceded in death by a daughter Lynette Campbell, his parents, and his eight siblings.

He is also survived by three children; Marge Thornton (Dennis), Howard Manning (Diane) and Jerry Manning (Kozette); and a son he recently connected with, Art Burget (Brenda); as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
