FFA State Convention Recap

DAYTON–Ten FFA members were honored with the opportunity to participate in the Washington FFA State Convention at Washington State University (WSU) in Pullman. One went as a delegate, and three presented the National Chapter Application to a panel of judges. The members participated in workshops and sessions by the state FFA officers and visiting officers from other states. These individuals also got the opportunity to get to know the WSU campus and got to tour the University of Idaho (U of I).

Dayton FFA members received four awards on stage: Wyntr McCauley's State Degree; 6th place in Scrapbook; Superior Chapter; and 13th in National Chapter. The members who have worked and placed on the National Chapter Application can go to Nationals in the Fall.

On Monday, May 20, activities were Grade 6 camp; Launch NW helped Seniors with scholarships and MS track me in Dayton. Then on Tuesday, May 21, there were a FFA Officer interviews.

On Wednesday, May 22, there will be an FFA Alumni meeting in the Ag shop at 6 p.m., followed by a Dayton FFA Chapter meeting in the Ag shop at 7 p.m.

Thursday, May 23, there is an MS dance in the High School Commons from 4-6 p.m.

Friday, May 24, is a half day for Memorial weekend, and no school on Monday, May 27.
