Newhouse graduates Magna Cum Laude

WALLA WALLA–Kailey Newhouse graduated Magna Cum Laude from Walla Walla Community College with a Bachelor's of Business Management Entrepreneurship Concentration; and an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting Technology.

WWCC held commencement exercises June 8 at 10 a.m. in the grass area outside of the Warrior Dome for students seeking Associate and Bachelor degrees. Newhouse, a former Dayton High School 2019 graduate, and Dayton Chronicle High School Correspondent, finishes her studies with GPA of 3.83 qualifying her as a Magna Cum Laude graduate. During her years of study, Newhouse worked full time at the community college, "She did all this while working full time," said her mother, Mindi Ingram. "She is a badass." She presently has a position in the WWCC business.

Newhouse may consider a Master's degree sometime in the future. For now, she will celebrate her completion by taking a breather to do nothing but breathe and recover. "I plan on not doing anything for the time being, just recovering, and having no thesis papers or assignments due for a while.," said Newhouse. "Maybe later I will think about taking a trip to celebrate my accomplishment."
