Fourth of July Picnic in the City Park

DAYTON–The fourth annual free, family-friendly "Picnic in the Park" is set for Thursday, July 4 in Dayton's Piertzycki (City) Park, beginning at noon, and picnic goers will have the opportunity to meet a number of candidates who are seeking office, locally and statewide, plus enjoy an afternoon of food and fun activities.

Columbia County Commissioner candidates Ryan Rundell and Marty Hall, both incumbents, will talk about their candidacy followed by Secretary of State candidate Dale Whitaker, Fifth Congressional District candidate Brian Dansel and Pete Serrano, who is running for Attorney General. Candidate speeches are set to begin at 12:30 p.m.

The event includes free hotdogs, watermelon and treats, along with games, a Bounce House with slide, Dunk Tank and a Silent Auction to benefit the Columbia County Conservatives.

The event is hosted by the Columbia County Republican Central Committee and the Columbia County Conservatives.
