Summer lunch program changes location

DAYTON–The Kids Summer Lunch Program has changed location to the library beginning July 8.

Lunches served on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, will now be served in the downstairs children’s section at the library. This change is possible due to the library now being fully staffed. Further, this change offers some important improvements, including a consistent lunch location, familiar to the kids; consistent staffing, also familiar to the kids a closer tie-in to the events and activities of the Summer Reading Program

All lunches continue to be provided at no charge to the kids, funded by Friends of the Dayton Memorial Library. The meals are prepared by and purchased from the kitchen of Columbia County Health System (Dayton General Hospital). Substantial healthy snacks are available on Tuesday and Thursday at the library.
