During the heat of summer, a cooling center is available at the library at 111 S. 3rd St., Dayton most days of the week.

If you find yourself needing relief from the high temperatures this summer, the Dayton Library is the place to find relief. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday at 12 p.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. In addition, water is available complimentary of the Columbia County Public Health Department.

As a reminder, kid ages 0-16 are welcome to partake free lunch here on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday substantial snacks are available for those needing a pick-me-up during the day.

Other programs available at the library, each Wednesday, the library offers computer skills training from 1-3 p.m.
