Nancy Breithaupt of Dayton, Wash., died June 30, 2024 peacefully in her home at the age of 96. Nancy praised her loving family of caregivers and her two "care cats" for being instrumental in helping her to remain at her farmstead, Glory B Farms (Glory Be to God), which she named after her strong religious faith.
Nancy was born in Seattle, Wash., on August 2, 1927 to George and Helen Van Waters. She was the youngest of three sisters. Barbara Strom and Miriam Pierce, both proceeding her in death.
While living in Dayton, Nancy had many friends and neighbors who she grew close to. She was very supportive of the physical therapy department at the Dayton General Hospital, and flourished with their care and friendships.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Susan Kelly (Greg), her son, Robert (Janet) Phinney; granddaughter, Marne (Jason) Grove, grandson, Todd (Andrea) Kelly; great-grandchildren Zach (Allyssa), Kyla, Paige, Madison, and Finley; and great-great-grandchildren Paisleigh and Tate. Making her very proud to be a part of five living generations.
A celebration of life will be held at Dumas Station Winery, 36229 US 12, Dayton, Wash., on Friday, September 6, at 4 p.m.
