Chamber seeking nominations

DAYTON–The Dayton Chamber of Commerce's annual Awards Banquet will be November 7, 2024, at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Pavilion. Festivities including dinner and awards will commence at 6 p.m.

Nominations for Dayton's Community Choice Awards are being solicited by the Chamber of Commerce for several honors: Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Employee of the Year, Youth Citizen of the year, Non-Profit of the Year and Startup of the Year.

The public is invited to nominate a candidate by obtaining a nomination form from the Chamber website or the office, and describing why the candidate should be considered for the particular award.

Nominations should be mailed or delivered to the Chamber office at 202 E. Main Street, or via email to [email protected]. The deadline will be October 18, 2024.

Last year, Kyle Anderson was named Citizen of the Year. Locally Nourished was named Business of the year, and Ryan Paulson was named Employee of the Year. Wyntr McCauley was recognized as Youth Citizen of the Year. Vikki's Sweet Shop was named Startup of the Year and the Dayton Kiwanis Club was honored as Non Profit of the Year. Mike Ellsworth received recognition as Humanitarian of the Year.
