DAYTON–The Lady Bulldogs got their season started by hosting a jamboree here September 5, and all players got time on the court.
"I was very pleased with the effort and teamwork the girls showed during the jamboree," said Head Coach Des Jones. "This setting is perfect for evaluating where a team stands before the season without the pressure."
Teams from Prescott, Touchet, Liberty Christian and Yakama Nation competed in the 30-minute sets.
"We have a range of experience and skills," Jones continued, "and this day helped to get some questions answered."
Teams played steadily for 30 minutes, switching sides at 15 minutes, and no scores nor statistics were kept.
"We have some great leadership within our team, and I am excited to see how the girls compete this year," she said.
The Bulldogs hosted Colton Tuesday, Sept. 10 and visit Tekoa-Rosalia on Thursday, Sept. 12. The following Tuesday is a road trip to Garfield-Palouse.
