Christmas 2024 was merrier for 75 local families who last week received Holiday Food Assistance Baskets from Project Timothy. Volunteers congregated recently at Parish Hall to fill the baskets with enough groceries for each family to be able to enjoy a filling Christmas meal. Some of the parcels were delivered by Columbia County Public Transportation, others were picked up by recipients. Families signed up for the assistance at Project Timothy, and this year there was a waiting list of 20 families. Helping distribute the food items were these volunteers, from left, Chuck Reeves, Jeannie Lyonnais, Dick Rogers, Kim Lyonnais and Gary Schroeder. Not pictured: Sarinda Carrigan.
